Exit the airport on the Dulles Access Road. (Access Road is expressway from airport to WMA Beltway) Turn RIGHT off the Access Road to Exit 9, Route 28 South. Proceed about 8 1/2 miles to Interstate 66 West. Exit on the right hand side of the road. Follow Interstate 66 West to Exit 47A, 234 Business. (Cloverleaf right, logical left turn) Drive under Interstate 66 West Sudley Road, Route 234. Turn right at the 10th light - Godwin Drive. Turn left at the 3rd traffic light, 9500 Godwin Drive (Lockheed Martin site). Proceed to the security guard station, advise them you are here for BAE Systems and they will open the gate. Follow the access road until you find the BAE Systems sign. The building to the right is the main entrance (Bldg. 110).

Dr. Gary Gordon, Ed.D., Executive Director
Center for Applied Identity Management Research - CAIMR
His presentation is entitled "Confronting Global Identity Management Challenges". The talk will focus on the current and near-future identity management challenges, the transnational economic crimes facilitated by the use of stolen personal identifier information, and the efforts of the Center for Applied Identity Management Research (CAIMR) to help meet the identity management challenges through its applied research agenda.
For the past 25 years, Dr. Gordon has led experts from academia, government, and the corporate sector in the study of these problems, through collaborative research, symposia, and annual conferences.
Dr.. Gordon is a former professor of Economic Crime Programs at Utica College. In 1988, Professor Gordon developed the first undergraduate major in Economic Crime Investigation in the United States.
His research agenda includes identity fraud and its impact on crime, commerce, and national security. His trusted and experienced handling of information and data for research purposes has led to unprecedented information sharing by key institutions. Dr. Gordon was the principal Investigator, for a Bureau of Justice Assistance funded project: Identity Fraud Trends and Patterns: Building a Data-Based Foundation for Proactive Enforcement. Released in October 2007, this empirically based study of closed U.S. Secret Service cases from 2000-2006, provides insight into offender characteristics, the crimes, and the victims.
He was a Senior Research Consultant with LexisNexis from 2002-2008. He is the principal author of three LexisNexis funded white papers/journal articles: The Ongoing Critical Threats Created by Identity Fraud (2006): An Action Plan, Identity Fraud: A Critical National and Global Threat (2004), and Using Identity Authentication and Eligibility Assessment to Mitigate the Risk of Improper Payments (2005).
Dr. Gordon holds a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Boston University. His master's degree is in Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven, and his bachelor's degree is in Psychology from Clark University.
